षडड्रश्चाखिलो वेद इमं गर्भस्थमेव ह । विवेश भृगुवंशस्य भूय: प्रियचिकीर्षया,भूगुकुलका पुनः प्रिय करनेकी इच्छासे छहों अंगोंसहित सम्पूर्ण वेद इस बालकको गर्भमें ही प्राप्त हो गये थे
ṣaḍaṅgaś cākhilo veda imaṁ garbhastham eva ha | viveśa bhṛguvaṁśasya bhūyaḥ priyacikīrṣayā ||
Vasiṣṭha said: “Indeed, the entire Veda together with its six auxiliaries entered this child while he was still in the womb—once again—out of a wish to do what was dear to the lineage of Bhṛgu.”
