Educational Q&A

Fearlessness in the face of wrongdoing and steadfast protection of one’s dependents: Bhīma refuses to act from fear and prioritizes the safety and peace of his sleeping family.

In the forest encounter with the rākṣasas, Bhīma addresses the rākṣasī (Hiḍimbā), stating that his brothers and mother are sleeping peacefully and that he will not wake them out of fear of her wicked brother (Hiḍimba).
