क्रूरो मानुषमांसादो महावीर्यपराक्रम: । प्रावड्जलधरश्याम: पिज्ञाक्षो दारुणाकृति:,वह बड़ा क्रूर और मनुष्यमांस खानेवाला था। उसका बल और पराक्रम महान् था। वह वर्षाकालके मेघकी भाँति काला था। उसकी आँखें भूरे रंगकी थीं और आकृतिसे क्रूरता टपक रही थी

Vaiśampāyana said: He was savage, a devourer of human flesh, endowed with immense strength and fearsome prowess. Dark as a monsoon cloud, with tawny-brown eyes and a dreadful appearance, he seemed to embody cruelty itself—an image of adharma that threatens the moral order.
