Educational Q&A

The verse highlights responsible governance and ethical oversight: major decisions about princes and the future of the realm should be made transparently, in the presence of respected elders and dharma-minded counselors, so that power and education are guided by accountability.

After the Kauravas and Pāṇḍavas finish their weapons-training, Droṇa approaches King Dhṛtarāṣṭra and speaks to him formally before a council-like gathering of eminent elders (Kṛpa, Somadatta, Bāhlīka, Bhīṣma, Vyāsa, Vidura), setting up the next developments concerning the princes.
