Adhyāya 125: Raṅga-pradarśana — Arjuna’s Entry and Astric Demonstration (रङ्गप्रदर्शनम्)
prahṛṣṭamanasaṃ tatra vicarantaṃ yathāmaram | taṃ mādrī anujagāmaikā vasanaṃ bibhratī śubham ||
Vaiśampāyana said: There he moved about with a heart uplifted in joy, like a god among the immortals. At that time Mādrī, wearing fine and auspicious garments, followed him alone—step by step—attending upon him with quiet devotion.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights inner disposition and conduct: a joyful, elevated mind is portrayed as godlike, and Mādrī’s solitary following in auspicious attire reflects attentive companionship and respectful service within a royal-ethical setting.
A man is described as moving about happily, compared to an immortal; Mādrī, dressed in fine clothing, follows him alone, indicating her presence as an attendant companion in that moment.
