सर्वेषामनुरूपाश्न कृता दारा महीपते । धृतराष्ट्रेण समये परीक्ष्य विधिवन्नूप,जनमेजय! राजा धृतराष्ट्रने समयपर भलीभाँति जाँच-पड़ताल करके अपने सभी पुत्रोंका उनके योग्य स्त्रियोंक साथ विवाह कर दिया। भरतश्रेष्ठ! महाराज धुृतराष्ट्रने विवाहके योग्य समय आनेपर अपनी पुत्री दुःशलाका राजा जयद्रथके साथ विधिपूर्वक विवाह किया

sarveṣām anurūpāś ca kṛtā dārā mahīpate | dhṛtarāṣṭreṇa samaye parīkṣya vidhivan nṛpa janamejaya ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “O King Janamejaya, when the proper time arrived, Dhṛtarāṣṭra, after due inquiry and careful consideration, arranged marriages for all his sons with brides suited to them, in accordance with prescribed rites.”
