भ्राता विचित्रवीर्यस्य यथा वा पुत्र मन्यसे । अयं शान्तनव: सत्यं पालयन्‌ सत्यविक्रम:

Transliteration

bhrātā vicitravīryasya yathā vā putra manyase | ayaṃ śāntanavaḥ satyaṃ pālayan satyavikramaḥ |

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: “O son, as you judge it, you are indeed the brother of Vicitravīrya. This Śāntanava (Bhīṣma), steadfast in truth and true in valor, is upholding the truth.”
