अहङ्कारावलेपेन गर्जसि त्वमतन्द्रितः उपकारो ह्यसाधूनाम् अपकाराय केवलम्
ahaṅkārāvalepena garjasi tvamatandritaḥ upakāro hyasādhūnām apakārāya kevalam
Blinded by the intoxication of ego, you roar on, ever restless. Indeed, kindness shown to the unrighteous becomes only a cause of harm—for those bound by pāśa turn even favor into injury.

It frames Linga-worship as inner purification: without dissolving ahaṅkāra (ego), devotion becomes noise, and the bound soul (paśu) misuses even sacred grace.
By implication, Shiva as Pati is the liberator from pāśa (bondage) like pride; the verse contrasts Shiva’s purifying order with the ego-driven disorder of the asādhu.
