In this world, what person could wish to attain siddhi without worshipping Him? Therefore, by the very force of the ordinance of Linga-worship, the obstructing bondage must be slain by that worship alone.
Suta Goswami (narrating Shiva’s ordinance on Linga-arcana to the sages of Naimisharanya)
It asserts that siddhi (true spiritual accomplishment) is not attainable without worship of Śiva, and that Linga-arcana has scriptural force capable of removing the soul’s obstacles.
Śiva is implied as Pati—the indispensable Lord whose grace and worship are the effective means for the pashu (individual soul) to overcome pasha (bondage) and reach siddhi.
Liṅgārcana-vidhi (the ordained ritual of worshipping the Linga) is highlighted as a decisive sādhana; in Shaiva terms it functions as a discipline that destroys bondage and supports Pāśupata-oriented attainment.
