Adhyaya 49: जम्बूद्वीप-मेर्वादि-वर्षपर्वत-वन-सरः-रुद्रक्षेत्र-वर्णनम्

स्थलपद्मवनान्तस्थन्यग्रोधे ऽशेषभोगिनः शेषस्त्वशेषजगतां पतिरास्ते ऽतिगर्वितः

Transliteration

sthalapadmavanāntasthanyagrodhe 'śeṣabhoginaḥ śeṣastvaśeṣajagatāṃ patirāste 'tigarvitaḥ

Translation

Within the nyagrodha banyan standing in the inner grove of the lotus-forest upon the earth abides Śeṣa—the serpent of endless coils—who, swollen with pride, imagines himself to be the Pati, Lord of all the worlds.
