There are four divine playgrounds of the gods—beyond human nature, delightful and enchanting—where all seasons and all times are present, ever fit for celestial sport.
Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages of Naimisharanya)
It frames the goal of Shiva-oriented dharma as entry into supra-human (amānuṣya) divine states—realms of harmony and fullness—hinting that Linga-puja elevates the pashu (bound soul) toward proximity with the divine order.
By describing a realm where all seasons and times coexist, it points to a Shiva-tattva backdrop beyond ordinary temporal limitation—where manifested experience appears as ordered play (krīḍā) within a higher, timeless sovereignty of Pati.
Indirectly, it supports Pashupata-oriented sādhana: through Shiva-puja, mantra, and disciplined yoga, the pashu loosens pāśa (bondage) and becomes fit for deva-like, purified experience rather than merely human, time-bound enjoyment.
