Adhyaya 49: जम्बूद्वीप-मेर्वादि-वर्षपर्वत-वन-सरः-रुद्रक्षेत्र-वर्णनम्

पञ्चाशत्कोटिविस्तीर्णा ससमुद्रा धरा स्मृता द्वीपैश् च सप्तभिर् युक्ता लोकालोकावृता शुभा

pañcāśatkoṭivistīrṇā sasamudrā dharā smṛtā dvīpaiś ca saptabhir yuktā lokālokāvṛtā śubhā

The Earth is remembered as stretching fifty crores in extent, together with its encircling oceans. Joined with the seven continents, it is auspicious and bounded by the Lokāloka range—marking the limit between the manifest worlds and the unmanifest darkness—thus sustaining the ordered cosmos under the Lord (Pati).
