युगधर्मवर्णनम् — चतुर्युग, गुण, धर्मपाद, तथा वार्तोत्पत्ति

द्वापरे व्याकुलीभूत्वा प्रणश्यति कलौ युगे

Transliteration

dvāpare vyākulībhūtvā praṇaśyati kalau yuge

Translation

In the Dvāpara age, dharma becomes agitated and disordered; in the Kali age, it perishes—thus dharma declines through the yugas, binding the paśu (soul) ever more tightly in pāśa (bondage), unless it takes refuge in Paśupati (Śiva).
