Therefore this entire world—moving and unmoving—abides in the condition of the four Yugas. Established in fourfold order, it will manifest as a four-footed structure (a complete, fourfold Dharma), upheld by the Lord (Pati) who governs the cosmic law.
Suta Goswami (narrating the cosmic order within the Linga Purana framework)
It frames Linga devotion within cosmic order: the worshipper aligns with Shiva (Pati), who upholds the world’s fourfold yuga-structure and the completeness of dharma.
Shiva-tattva is implied as the sustaining Pati who regulates time (yuga) and order (dharma), while pashus (souls) and the world (moving/unmoving) function within that governed structure.
A practical takeaway is yuga-aware sadhana: living by dharma’s “four supports” and using Pashupata-oriented discipline (niyama, purity, steadiness) to loosen pasha (bondage) under Shiva’s grace.
