सिंहव्याघ्रमृगादीनि लोकहिंसाकराणि तु / नृपो हन्याच्च सततं देवार्थे ब्राह्मणार्थके
Transliteration
siṃhavyāghramṛgādīni lokahiṃsākarāṇi tu / nṛpo hanyācca satataṃ devārthe brāhmaṇārthake
Translation
Lions, tigers, deer, and the like that bring harm upon the people—the king should ever slay them, for the sake of the Devas and for the welfare of the Brāhmaṇas.
