महादेव्याः आविर्भाव-रूपान्तर-विहारवर्णनम्
Manifestation, Forms, and Divine Play of the Mahādevī
इति श्रीब्रह्माण्डे महापुराणे उत्तरभागे हयग्रीवागस्त्यसंवादे ललितोपाख्याने अगस्त्ययात्राजनार्दनाविर्भावो नाम पञ्चमो ऽध्यायः अथोपवेश्य चैवैनमासने परमाद्भुते / हयाननमुपागत्यागस्त्यो वाक्यं समब्रवीत्
iti śrībrahmāṇḍe mahāpurāṇe uttarabhāge hayagrīvāgastyasaṃvāde lalitopākhyāne agastyayātrājanārdanāvirbhāvo nāma pañcamo 'dhyāyaḥ athopaveśya caivainamāsane paramādbhute / hayānanamupāgatyāgastyo vākyaṃ samabravīt
Thus, in the Śrī Brahmāṇḍa Mahāpurāṇa, in the latter section, within the dialogue of Hayagrīva and Agastya in the Lalitopākhyāna, is the fifth chapter called “Agastya’s journey and the manifestation of Janārdana.” Then, seating him upon a most wondrous throne, Agastya approached the Horse-faced One (Hayagrīva) and spoke.
