महापद्माटव्यार्घ्यस्थापनकथनम्
Establishing the Arghya in the Mahāpadmāṭavī
इति श्रीब्रह्माण्डमहापुराणे उत्तरभागे हयग्रीवागस्त्यसंवादे ललितोपाख्याने महापद्माटव्यार्घ्यस्थापनकथनं नाम पञ्चत्रिंशो ऽध्यायः हयग्रीव उवाच चिन्तामणिगृहस्याग्निदिग्भागे कुन्दमानकम् / योजनायामविस्तारं योजनोच्छासचातकम्
iti śrībrahmāṇḍamahāpurāṇe uttarabhāge hayagrīvāgastyasaṃvāde lalitopākhyāne mahāpadmāṭavyārghyasthāpanakathanaṃ nāma pañcatriṃśo 'dhyāyaḥ hayagrīva uvāca cintāmaṇigṛhasyāgnidigbhāge kundamānakam / yojanāyāmavistāraṃ yojanocchāsacātakam
Thus, in the Śrī Brahmāṇḍa Mahāpurāṇa, in the latter section, in the dialogue of Hayagrīva and Agastya, within the Lalitā narrative, is the thirty-fifth chapter called “The Account of Establishing the Arghya in the Mahāpadma Forest.” Hayagrīva said: “On the Agni side (the direction of Fire) of the Cintāmaṇi mansion is a pond named Kundamānaka, one yojana in breadth and one and a quarter yojanas in depth.”
