The Mustering of the Daitya Forces and the Roar of War
viṃśatyakṣauhiṇībhiśca samantātparivāritaḥ / mardayansa mahīgolaṃ hastivājipadātibhiḥ / durmadasyāgrajaścaṇḍaḥ kuraṇḍaḥ samaraṃ yayau
Surrounded on every side by twenty akṣauhiṇīs, trampling the earth’s sphere with elephants, horses, and foot-soldiers, fierce Kuraṇḍa—elder brother of Durmada—went forth to battle.
