Āgnīdhra Meets Pūrvacitti and Begets the Nine Sons of Jambūdvīpa
शिष्या इमे भगवत: परित: पठन्तिगायन्ति साम सरहस्यमजस्रमीशम् । युष्मच्छिखाविलुलिता: सुमनोऽभिवृष्टी:सर्वे भजन्त्यृषिगणा इव वेदशाखा: ॥ ९ ॥
śiṣyā ime bhagavataḥ paritaḥ paṭhanti gāyanti sāma sarahasyam ajasram īśam yuṣmac-chikhā-vilulitāḥ sumano ’bhivṛṣṭīḥ sarve bhajanty ṛṣi-gaṇā iva veda-śākhāḥ
Mahārāja Āgnīdhra said: “My Lord, the bumblebees humming around you are like disciples gathered about your worshipful form. Unceasingly they chant the melodies of the Sāma Veda, joined with the secret wisdom of the Upaniṣads, offering praise to the Supreme Īśa. They drink the shower of blossoms shaken from your hair; as sages take shelter of the branches of Vedic lore, so they all engage in your bhajana.”
