Therefore, O asuras, abandon the so‑called happiness of household life—root of rajasic attachment, gloom, anger, pride, insatiable desire, fear, wretchedness, and disease, and the very enclosure of the wheel of birth and death. Take refuge in the lotus feet of Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva, the shelter of fearlessness; there alone is true safety.
This verse says fear and anxiety arise from the root of material passion and attachment—expressed as craving, pride, anger, lamentation, and related mental distress—and it advises taking shelter of Lord Nṛsiṁha’s feet to become fearless.
Prahlāda describes worldly home-attachment as a stronghold of saṁsāra because it often nourishes rajo-guṇa and the chain of emotions that bind the soul; he urges devotion to Lord Nṛsiṁha as the real refuge.
Reduce attachment-driven habits that trigger anxiety (craving, anger, pride) and daily take shelter through prayer, chanting, and remembrance of Lord Nṛsiṁha, cultivating dependence on Bhagavān rather than on unstable material security.
