Conchshells, horns, and drums resounded, along with song, instrumental music, and the brāhmaṇas’ benedictions. Joyful men and women adorned themselves with fine garments and flower garlands.
This verse describes auspicious public rejoicing—conchshells, drums, music, and brāhmaṇa blessings—showing how dharmic celebrations are centered on sacred sound and devotion.
The Bhagavatam highlights that true auspiciousness comes not only from festivity but from dharma—brāhmaṇas offering benedictions and sacred good wishes alongside joyful kīrtana and instruments.
Create spiritually focused celebrations: include kīrtana, sacred music, gratitude, and blessings from elders/teachers, keeping joy connected to devotion and virtue.
