Kṛṣṇa Visits Indraprastha; Kuntī’s Remembrance; Kālindī and Further Marriages
तां श्रुत्वा वृषजिल्लभ्यां भगवान् सात्वतां पति: । जगाम कौशल्यपुरं सैन्येन महता वृत: ॥ ३४ ॥
tāṁ śrutvā vṛṣa-jil-labhyāṁ bhagavān sātvatāṁ patiḥ jagāma kauśalya-puraṁ sainyena mahatā vṛtaḥ
Hearing of the princess to be won only by the conqueror of the bulls, Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa, Lord of the Vaiṣṇavas, went to Kauśalya’s capital surrounded by a great army.
She is Bhadrā, the daughter of King Vṛṣajit; this verse states that Kṛṣṇa heard her message/news and then went to Kauśalyā-pura.
The verse indicates He traveled surrounded by a mighty force, reflecting royal protocol and protection during significant matrimonial and political movements within the Yadu sphere.
It emphasizes Kṛṣṇa as the guardian of devotees—encouraging modern practitioners to seek shelter in bhakti, trusting divine protection while acting responsibly in worldly duties.
