Pradyumna’s Abduction, Mahā-māyā, and the Slaying of Śambara
आकीर्यमाणो दिविजै: स्तुवद्भि: कुसुमोत्करै: । भार्ययाम्बरचारिण्या पुरं नीतो विहायसा ॥ २५ ॥
ākīryamāṇo divi-jaiḥ stuvadbhiḥ kusumotkaraiḥ bhāryayāmbara-cāriṇyā puraṁ nīto vihāyasā
As the residents of the higher planets showered Pradyumna with flowers and chanted His praises, His wife appeared in the sky and transported Him through the heavens, back to the city of Dvārakā.
In this verse, the demigods shower flowers and praise to honor a divinely significant victory and to express approval of dharmic triumph and the Lord’s arrangement.
Rati, his wife, described here as ambaracāriṇī—one who can travel through the air—carried him through the sky into the city.
When righteousness prevails and one acts under divine guidance, support and auspiciousness come naturally—reminding us to stay steady in dharma and devotion even amid adversity.
