The Killing of Keśī and Vyomāsura; Nārada’s Prophetic Praise of Kṛṣṇa
tad vañcayitvā tam adhokṣajo ruṣā pragṛhya dorbhyāṁ parividhya pādayoḥ sāvajñam utsṛjya dhanuḥ-śatāntare yathoragaṁ tārkṣya-suto vyavasthitaḥ
But the transcendental Lord dodged Keśī’s blow. Then, angrily seizing the demon by the legs with His arms, He whirled him through the air and contemptuously hurled him one hundred bow-lengths away, just as Garuḍa might fling a snake. Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa then stood firmly there.
This verse calls Kṛṣṇa “Adhokṣaja,” indicating the Supreme Lord beyond material perception, who effortlessly overpowers opponents and acts from a transcendental position.
The verse depicts Kṛṣṇa decisively subduing and humiliating the aggressor—showing that divine protection is swift and that arrogance and violence are ultimately powerless before the Lord.
When faced with intimidation or injustice, devotees can remember Kṛṣṇa’s supreme control, remain steady in dharma, and seek refuge in bhakti rather than fear or retaliation.
