Having made Kṛṣṇa their very life and mind, yet unaware of His majesty, they took those evil omens to mean He had met with death; thus they were overwhelmed by grief, lamentation, and fear.
Because Kṛṣṇa had gone to graze the cows without Balarāma and did not return, the elders of Vraja feared danger and went to find Him.
Their love is so intense that even a delay in Kṛṣṇa’s return becomes unbearable, revealing deep attachment and dependence on Him.
Cultivate steady remembrance and concern for one’s spiritual connection with Kṛṣṇa, treating separation from devotion as the real danger.
