Bali Liberated, Prahlāda Blessed, and Vāmana Accepted as Universal Protector
प्राप्य त्रिभुवनं चेन्द्र उपेन्द्रभुजपालित: । श्रिया परमया जुष्टो मुमुदे गतसाध्वस: ॥ २५ ॥
prāpya tri-bhuvanaṁ cendra upendra-bhuja-pālitaḥ śriyā paramayā juṣṭo mumude gata-sādhvasaḥ
Protected by the arms of Upendra, Lord Vāmanadeva, Indra regained sovereignty over the three worlds and was restored to his own post. Endowed with supreme opulence, he became fearless and fully satisfied.
This verse states that Indra regained the three worlds because Upendra (Lord Vāmana) protected him; by the Lord’s support, Indra’s fear ended and prosperity returned.
Upendra refers to Lord Vāmana, the younger brother of Indra. He is mentioned because His divine protection enabled Indra to recover his rule and live without fear.
When one takes shelter of the Lord’s protection, anxiety diminishes and one can act steadily; true security and well-being are ultimately sustained by divine grace, not merely personal power.
