savítā tā́ṃ savitaḥ satyásavāṃ sucitrā́m āháṃ vṛ́ṇe sumatíṃ viśvávārām | yā́m asyá káṇvo áduhan prápīnām sahásradhārāṃ mahíṣo bhágāya
O Savitar, that fair boon—of true impulsion, of goodly form—do I elect: the good favour, all-choice. Which boon of his Kanva milked forth, rich and full, thousand-streamed, as a strong bull for Bhaga’s portion.
Rishi: Kāṇva tradition (Kanva indicated within the verse; hymn attributed within Kāṇva sphere)
Devata: Savitar (primary); Bhaga (prosperity-distributor, secondary)
Chandas: Triṣṭubh-like cadence (requires metrical verification against pada count in Saunaka tradition)
{"primary_rasa":"adbhuta","secondary_rasa":"shanta","emotional_arc":"From deliberate choosing to overflowing abundance imagery and satisfied allotment.","listener_experience":"Awe at abundance, then calm confidence of rightful prosperity.","intensity":5}
