yé ’syā́m sthórdhvā́yāṃ diśy àvasvánto nā́ma devā́s téṣāṃ vo bṛ́haspátir íṣavaḥ | té no mṛḍata té no ’dhí brūta tébhyo vo námas tébhyo vaḥ svā́hā ||
Ye who are stationed in this upward quarter, gods wealthy in might by name—of you, Bṛhaspati is the lord, and the Arrows are your powers. Be gracious unto us; speak over us in blessing. To them be reverence from you; to them from you be Svāhā.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (directional guardianship hymn; r̥ṣi attribution varies by anukramaṇī lists)
Devata: Dik-devatāḥ (deities of the quarters), with Bṛhaspati as presiding lord of the upward quarter; 'Iṣavaḥ' as weapon-powers
Chandas: Mixed/prose-like Atharvanic cadence (often treated as anuṣṭubh-adjacent in recensional counting)
