Frequently Asked Questions

It energizes Indra with the pressed Soma so he becomes satisfied and powerful, then turns that power into victory, protection, and prosperity—especially cattle-wealth—for the worshipper/patron.

“Bull” highlights Indra’s overflowing strength, virility, and conquering force—qualities the hymn seeks to awaken through Soma and praise.

Āśira is a strengthening milk-mixture used with offerings, and madhu is sweet potency (often honey/sweetened drink). The verse says cows ‘milked out’ this strengthening sweetness for Indra, validating the offering as divinely appropriate.
