वि हि सोतोरसृक्षत नेन्द्रं देवममंसत । यत्रामदद् वृषाकपिरर्यः पुष्टेषु मत्सखा विश्वस्मादिन्द्र उत्तरः
ví hí sotṝ́n asṛkṣata néndraṁ devám amaṁsata | yátrā́madad vṛṣā́kapiḥ aryáḥ púṣṭeṣu mátsakhā víśvasmād índra úttaraḥ
For the pressers were scattered; they gave no thought to Indra the God—there where Vṛṣākapi made revel, the noble one amid prosperities, my comrade in intoxication: Indra is higher than all.
