Sukta 2

यथाहान्यनुपूर्वं भवन्ति यथर्तव ऋतुभिर्यन्ति साकम्। यथा न पूर्वमपरो जहात्येवा धातरायूंषि कल्पयैषाम्

yáthā́hāny anupūrváṃ bhávanti yáthārtáva ṛtúbhir yánti sākám | yáthā́ ná pū́rvam áparo jáhāty evā́ dhātár āyū́ṃṣi kalpayaíṣām ||

As days come on in ordered sequence; as seasons with the seasons move together; as the later doth not abandon the earlier—so, O Dhātṛ, do thou dispose for these their spans of life.
