Climb thou upon the reed: no place is thine here. This lead is thy allotted portion—come, take it. The yákṣma that is in cattle, the yákṣma that is in men—with that, together, go thou downward and away.
Rishi: Atharvanic healer-seer (specific anukramaṇī attribution varies for AV 12.2).
Devata: Yákṣma (as personified disease) as the addressed target; the rite is apotropaic.
Chandas: Mixed/irregular (AV medical charms often loosen strict RV meters).
{"primary_rasa":"raudra","secondary_rasa":"bhayankara","emotional_arc":"From confrontation (‘no place here’) to decisive banishment (‘downward and away’).","listener_experience":"A surge of agency and boundary-power; cathartic rejection of the illness.","intensity":7}
