दुरुक्तशल्यं हृदि निखातं तेजःसंदीपनमिन्द्रियोपतापि च इति ॥ कZ_०८.३.२६ ॥
duruktaśalyaṃ hṛdi nikhātaṃ tejaḥsaṃdīpanam indriyopatāpi ca iti
A cruel utterance is like a thorn embedded in the heart; it inflames one’s ardor and also afflicts the senses—thus (it is serious).
It frames abusive speech as enduring internal harm that provokes anger and impairs well-being, increasing the likelihood of further disorder.
