वास्तुकप्रशस्ते देशे सप्राकारपरिखाद्वारमनेककक्ष्यापरिगतमन्तःपुरं कारयेत् ॥ कZ_०१.२०.०१ ॥

Transliteration

vāstukapraśaste deśe saprākāraparikhādvāram anekakakṣyāparigatam antaḥpuraṃ kārayet

Translation

In a site approved by architectural science, he should have the inner palace built with a rampart, moat, and gates, enclosed by multiple successive zones (courtyards/compartments).
