विनीतो राजपुत्रः कृच्छ्रवृत्तिरसदृशे कर्मणि नियुक्तः पितरमनुवर्तेत अन्यत्र प्राणाबाधकप्रकृतिकोपकपातकेभ्यः ॥ कZ_०१.१८.०१ ॥
vinīto rājaputraḥ kṛcchravṛttir asadṛśe karmaṇi niyuktaḥ pitaram anuvarteta anyatra prāṇābādhaka-prakṛti-kopaka-pātakebhyaḥ
A disciplined prince, even when kept in hardship and assigned work unbefitting his status, should comply with his father—except where compliance would endanger his life, provoke the state’s key constituencies, or involve grave wrongdoing.
Obedience is the default, but not when it risks death, triggers backlash among key state constituencies (prakṛtis), or requires grave misconduct.
