यथा लीनः सर्पो यस्माद्भयं पश्यति तत्र विषमुत्सृजति एवमयं राजा जातदोषाशङ्कस्त्वयि पुरा क्रोधविषमुत्सृजति अन्यत्र गम्यतामिति भीतवर्गं उपजापयेत् ॥ कZ_०१.१४.०८ ॥
yathā līnaḥ sarpo yasmād bhayaṃ paśyati tatra viṣam utsṛjati evam ayaṃ rājā jātadoṣāśaṅkas tvayi purā krodhaviṣam utsṛjati anyatra gamyatām iti bhītavargaṃ upajāpayet
As a hidden snake releases its venom toward what it fears, so this king—suspecting faults in you—will sooner or later discharge the venom of anger at you. Go elsewhere: thus one should suborn the fearful set.
