स्थितानां पृथगनीकवृत्तिरसंहतः ॥ कZ_१०.६.०७ ॥
sthitānāṃ pṛthaganīkavṛttir asaṃhataḥ
When the standing units operate as separate sub-formations (pṛthag-anīka) without close cohesion, the array is termed ‘Asaṃhata’ (uncompacted/disjoint).
It classifies a command problem: units are present but not mutually supporting; the commander must restore cohesion or use the looseness deliberately for screening or dispersion.
To standardize battlefield reporting and orders—precise labels reduce ambiguity between commanders, scouts, and staff.
