चारकमभित्त्वा निष्पातयतो मध्यमः भित्त्वा वधः बन्धनागारात्सर्वस्वं वधश्च ॥ कZ_०४.९.२७ ॥
Transliteration
cārakam abhittvā niṣpātayato madhyamaḥ bhittvā vadhaḥ bandhanāgārāt sarvasvaṃ vadhaś ca
Translation
If one causes a detainee to escape without breaking (the enclosure), the middle-grade penalty applies; if by breaking it, death; if (one causes escape) from the prison, confiscation of all property and death.
