Sutra 18

शोभावशेन व्यायामं भद्र्म मन्दं च कारयेत् ॥ कZ_०२.३१.१८अब् ॥

śobhāvaśena vyāyāmaṃ bhadrma mandaṃ ca kārayet

Depending on the animal’s condition/appearance, one should have it exercised—either vigorously (bhadra) or gently (manda).
