A superior house (uttamāgāra) is of the ‘half-site’ type (ardhavāstuka), or else it maintains a spacing of one-third (tribhāgāntara). Its sides are secured with brickwork; it has a right-turning stair on the left side, and on the other side a concealed stair built within the wall.
It supports controlled movement, emergency egress, and security planning—features important for residences of officials or protected persons.
