तस्यां पूर्वमनर्थं साधयेत्तत्सिद्धावर्थसंशयम् ॥ कZ_०९.७.४२ ॥
Transliteration
tasyāṃ pūrvamanarthaṃ sādhayettatsiddhāvarthasaṃśayam
Translation
In such a case, one should first secure (i.e., settle/contain) the loss; only after that is achieved should one pursue the doubtful benefit.
