दृष्टा हि जीवतः पुनरावृत्तिर्यथा सुयात्रोदयनाभ्याम् ॥ कZ_०९.७.३६ ॥
dṛṣṭā hi jīvataḥ punarāvṛttir yathā suyātrodayanābhyām
For the return of one who survives is indeed seen—like (the cases of) Suyātra and Udayana.
A defeated ruler can recover power if he preserves life and leadership continuity; withdrawal can be a deliberate step toward restoration.
