प्रलय-त्रिविध-विभागः एवं प्राकृतप्रलय-वर्णनम्
ततो दग्ध्वा जगत् सर्वं रुद्ररूपी जनार्दनः मुखनिश्वासजान् मेघान् करोति मुनिसत्तम
tato dagdhvā jagat sarvaṃ rudrarūpī janārdanaḥ mukhaniśvāsajān meghān karoti munisattama
Dann, nachdem Janārdana in Rudras Gestalt das ganze Weltall im Feuer verzehrt hat, lässt er aus dem Hauch seines Mundes Wolken hervorgehen, o bester der Weisen.
Sage Parāśara (teaching Maitreya)
It shows that destruction (Rudra-function) is not independent; it operates as a mode of the Supreme Lord (Vishnu/Janardana) within cosmic order.
After the universe is consumed, Parāśara describes the next cosmological step: the Lord generates rain-bearing clouds from His breath, initiating the conditions for re-manifestation.
Vishnu is presented as the ultimate sovereign cause—able to assume the destructive aspect and also generate the restorative forces—affirming His supremacy over the full cycle of dissolution and re-creation.
