तपश् चरत्सु पृथिवीं प्रचेतःसु महीरुहाः अरक्ष्यमाणाम् आवव्रुर् बभूवाथ प्रजाक्षयः

tapaś caratsu pṛthivīṃ pracetaḥsu mahīruhāḥ arakṣyamāṇām āvavrur babhūvātha prajākṣayaḥ

Während die Pracetas strenge Askese übten, wurde die unbewachte Erde ringsum von mächtigen Bäumen überwuchert; aus Mangel an Raum und Nahrung begann das Leben zu vergehen.
