Prahlada’s Defeat in Battle and Victory through Bhakti (Nara-Narayana Episode)
prahlāda uvāca nārāyaṇa varaṃ yāce yaṃ tvaṃ me dātumarhasi tanme pāpaṃ layaṃ yātu śārīraṃ mānasaṃ tathā

Prahlāda models a sāttvika boon: not wealth or power, but purification of both body and mind—implying that true welfare is inner transformation aligned with dharma.
Vamśānucarita / carita: an exemplary devotee’s request becomes a teaching unit on the goal of devotion—removal of pāpa and refinement of the inner instrument (manas).
The pairing of śārīra (outer) and mānasa (inner) signals holistic purification: liberation-oriented religion is not merely ritual correctness but cleansing of intention, thought, and embodiment.
