na tyajec ced yatir mukto yo mādhukaram ātaram | vairāgyajanakaṃ śraddhākalatraṃ jñānanandanam ||23||
Der befreite Entsagende soll die „Mādhukara-Mutter“ nicht verlassen, das heilige Almosensammeln: es gebiert die Leidenschaftslosigkeit; sein Gemahl ist der Glaube, und sein Kind ist die Erkenntnis.
If a liberated renunciant were to abandon the ‘mādhukara’ (alms-gathering) mother—(namely) that which gives rise to dispassion, whose spouse is faith, and whose child is knowledge—he should not (do so).
