Liṅga–Bera Pūjā: Nitya-Arcana and Upacāras as an Accessible Sādhana (लिङ्गबेरपूजा-विधानम्)

तूष्णीं सकलमात्रत्वादर्च्यंते बेरमात्रके । जीवत्वं शंकरान्येषां ब्रह्मत्वं शंकरस्य च

tūṣṇīṃ sakalamātratvādarcyaṃte beramātrake | jīvatvaṃ śaṃkarānyeṣāṃ brahmatvaṃ śaṃkarasya ca

Weil (der Herr) alle Maße und alle Kategorien des Daseins durchdringt, wird Er in Schweigen durch das bloße Kultbild (bēra) verehrt. Die anderen—die nicht Śaṅkara sind—haben den Stand der jīva (Einzelseele), während allein Śaṅkara den Stand des Brahman (der höchsten Wirklichkeit) besitzt.
