शिवाग्निरिति संप्रोक्तस्तेन दग्धं शिवाग्निजम् । कपिलागोमयं पूर्वं केवलं गव्यमेव वा

Transliteration

śivāgniriti saṃproktastena dagdhaṃ śivāgnijam | kapilāgomayaṃ pūrvaṃ kevalaṃ gavyameva vā

Translation

Dieses Feuer wird als „Śivas Feuer“ verkündet; und was von diesem Śiva-Feuer verbrannt wird, wird zu bhasma — der heiligen Asche, die aus Śivas Feuer geboren ist. Zuerst soll man den Dung einer kapilā-Kuh (falbfarben) verbrennen, oder andernfalls ausschließlich reinen Kuhdung.
