Bondage and Liberation: The Prakṛti–Karma Wheel and Śiva as the Transcendent Cause
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Mantra: …(tattannāmnā) … caturthyāṃ … namaḥ-ante …
Type: stotra
Offering: pushpa
It teaches disciplined, mantra-governed worship: honoring the cosmic order (directions and their presiding powers) while keeping the act of offering anchored in humility through the “namaḥ” ending—supporting Shaiva purity of intention before approaching Shiva’s grace.
Directional and attendant-deity offerings function as preparatory worship (aṅga/pariṣkāra) that steadies the devotee’s mind and sanctifies the space, so the central Linga worship of Saguna Shiva can be performed without ritual disorder.
Perform sequential offerings to Indra and related deities by direction, reciting each mantra with the deity’s name in the dative (“to X”) and ending with “namaḥ,” maintaining correct order and focused attention.
