सनालाम्रककूर्चादीन्कलशांश्च तथाष्टसु । पूरयेन्मंत्रपूतेन पंचद्र व्ययुतेन हि
sanālāmrakakūrcādīnkalaśāṃśca tathāṣṭasu | pūrayenmaṃtrapūtena paṃcadra vyayutena hi
Er soll die Gefäße füllen und bereiten—wie das Bündel von Mangoblättern mit Stiel und andere Ritualgeräte—und ebenso die acht Kalaśas, mit den fünf heiligen Substanzen, die durch Mantra gereinigt wurden.

Significance: Mantra-pūta pañcadravya signifies purification and eligibility (adhikāra) of the bound soul (paśu) to approach Śiva; ritual ‘filling’ becomes a vehicle for grace (anugraha) through consecrated substances.

It teaches that Shiva-worship is not merely external action: the offerings become spiritually effective when sanctified by mantra, aligning the devotee’s intention with Pati (Shiva) through disciplined ritual purity.
The verse describes preparatory steps for formal Linga-puja—arranging ritual vessels and filling them with consecrated substances—supporting Saguna worship as a means to approach the Nirguna truth of Shiva through orderly devotion.
Mantra-consecration (mantra-pūta) of the offerings and filling the eight kalaśas with pañcadravya—performed with steady remembrance of Shiva, typically alongside japa such as the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya).
